    Words in print

Recently, I've been asked for permission by Avonder to include Whom The Princesses Would Destroy... in a story anthology he's putting together. I'm not one for hoarding words and I gave it quite, quite gladly.

    You'll find it here.

    Now(TM) with Travel Advice

I'm safely ensconced in my hotel room in Ludwigsburg. Hope to meet at least some of you. To increase the odds of this happening, I offer the following advice:

    Soon(TM)

I will be flying to Galacon 2018 in under twelve hours and I expect I will be safely in Ludwigsburg within 24 hours. I will be hard to contact during this period, though I think I've acquired a method of fool-proof Internet access no matter where I am (aside from six miles straight up, of course).

Hope to see many of you soon!

    Happy July 20th!

...or July 21st, depending on your timezone.

49 years ago the first manned Moon landing was accomplished. It is one of my favorite moments in history (To learn about my favorite you may have to wait for December the 9th), and to celebrate I've re-edited Hoofprints to be a little less... ah, draft-y.

Emergency Signal Boost - A Muddy Hole · 11:28pm Jul 28th, 2013

Hello my readers both clever and charming!

If you are in the mood[1] for a story that brings the clever, a touch of humor, and the better class of d'aww, you can hardly do better than A Muddy Hole by the, frankly, quite magnificent PoweredByTea[2]. It's a story about how the usually quite fastidious Rarity ended up in all that mud back in the Sisterhooves Social episode and it is, I think, an example of the very best[3] form of fanfiction -- the kind that not only fits within canon but makes it better.

[1] And if you aren't, you may be on the wrong site and, possibly, the wrong fandom. :)
[2] If you aren't watching PoweredByTea, may I suggest you reconsider?
[3] Actually, my opinions on the ways fanfiction can be good are a bit more involved, and if I ever get the time, I'll bore you all[4] with a blog post on the subject.
[4] 'Verbose Bastard.' It's right there in the bio.

As to item #3: Please do. I greatly enjoy hearing your opinions on things.

Luna's left nostril, I'd read a review of the quantum mechanics of pocket-lint after a nice round in the dryer. Long as you wrote it at least.

Cheers for the heads up, almighty ghost of fanfic past.

I second both motions, save that I invoke Luna's right nostril. Don't want to wear out the left one, now do we?

Alright; but hold up Smokey, where's the fire? Why is this titled 'Emergency' other than to draw one's attention (which, being on my feed and whatnot, it already had)?

How odd. I am not following PoweredByTea. :rainbowhuh:

Well, I'll just go and fix THAT little oddity.

if I ever get the time, I'll bore you all[4] with a blog post on the subject.

That's cute. You think that your writing will ever bore me.

Quantum mechanics of pocket lint, you say? I think I know what my next story is about!

By The Royal Nasal Passages, I thank ye both, and will endeavor not to disappoint. Too much. I mean, it is pocket lint.

Apologies. I though Mr. Tea was aiming for the featured box (and why shouldn't he?) and there's a time-frame for that. Hence 'Emergency'[1]. However, it so transpired that his story was a few hundred words under the featuring cutoff and, so, there was no actual reason for hurry. Well, except to hurry up and read a really good story. There's that.

You were seriously missing out. Glad you got that anomaly fixed.

Challenge accepted. :rainbowdetermined2:

A strange thing indeed. Especially since I read both of his other stories. So I know I love his writing. A mystery for the ages...

Challenge accepted.

Dis gun b gud.
