I'm the same way. Once a paragraph is written, I go over it again and again until I'm satisfied. What I like to do is simplify the scene the scene in my head down to the most basic of actions: What is this character seeing, doing, or thinking? And sentence by sentence, add the small details until the words flow together evenly.
