Venting a little yet again. (Minor Fic update)

Greetings followers (all two of you) How are you guys? Enjoying the summer?

I have a little fanfic related update for you guys and a big personal one. Remember if you don’t want to read the whole thing there is a TL:DR summary at the bottom. 

Personal Update: So yeah, finished my final exam about 3 weeks ago and got good grades overall. With exams finished I had planned to go visit my parent who live out on the country side and do a little relaxation and a lot of writing.

I had talked with my mom and dad about it and they said they wouldn’t have any chore for me so I could just write as much as I wanted (They know about my fanfics, but only the “Clean ones”) So everything was planned out and going to be good.

Oh how wrong I was.

My father is a fisher and the most active one down at the local harbor. He sails out two to three times a day during the summer in order to satisfy the demand of tourists. He has done this every summer for the past 30 or so years and every year it’s the same. Tourists prefer buying fish from him rather than the other fishermen and they don’t really like that.

It’s been like that every year and the only thing they have done was pout and bitch amongst themselves, but the day that I came home they had according to my father told him to fish less in a semi-threatening manner. From there is got out of hand pretty quickly.

The harbor is not a big one, it’s a small “old-school” one and everyone has their nets, traps, lures, gas cans and net-flags located next to their boats. The important things like engines, floaters and lead is locked away in small storage rooms. So if someone wanted to steal any of the mentioned things that aren’t locked away, they could.

The other fishermen thought he would fish less if he didn’t have all of his gear, but my dad has scratched his initials into some of the lead bearings on the nets and they were stupid enough to place his nets amongst theirs. My dad found his nets and confronted his colleagues. They all got mad because he “accused” them of stealing.

So my first week home was a bit hectic, supporting my father and all, BUT here it where it get much worse. In a previous blog I made I mentioned a little incident with a dog at my brother’s farm. My brother works at VESTAS the wind energy firm, so he doesn’t use the buildings on his farm, other than the main house, he instead rents out the space to the local farmers and fisher men.

He and his wife recently bought three cats to kill rats and mice. They weren’t supposed to be “pets” but if you have three cute kittens playing around you it’s hard not to fall for them. My brother and his wife did. I didn’t feel like writing after all that had happened regarding my dad so I helped my brother with various things.

We had been digging sand and dirt away for a few hours and decided that we wanted to get something to eat; whilst we did one of the local farmers came like he usually did to pick up whatever he needed.

While we are eating we suddenly hear this horrible noise, the noise of a cat being attacked by a dog. My brother and I literally jump out the door and ran towards the sound, we turn a corner and see this German shepherd having the black kitten in its mouth, swinging it from side to side. The only thing I could think of was that I needed to stop the dog and I did. I took one of the spades we had used for digging and swung it down at the dog. The dog let out a whine I’ve never heard a dog make and it ran back to its owner. (The kitten didn’t make it)

The dog owner didn’t confront us until after he had been to the vet with his injured dog, which had to be put down. He was understandingly very angry with us, as we were with him. The whole situation just escalated from this.

Then came the aftermath to all of this: My brother’s wife took initiative and got the police involved and after about a week with explaining what was going on and what had happened, the two officers assigned to the case had us gathered at the harbor and basically told us how childish and stupid the whole situation was.

No charges were made and everything is more or less back to normal. The End.

So yeah that what I’ve been spending my summer vacation on so far and I hope that I can finally relax a little. That personal update almost turned out much longer than expected. :P

Fanfic Updates.

The dragoness: Bad news. The story was going to contain an original metal love song written and composed by my very good friend Adrian, but he is studying at a university in Copenhagen and working in most of his free time. This means that there will not be an original metal love song in the story and I will have to change that part of the story.

I had also tried commissioning a piece of artwork from Atryl or Siden, but I have had no luck 

Good news: I will try my best to have it out before the end of the month.

TL:DR

Personal: Family problems made it near impossible for me to concentrate on writing. A lot of shit happened. Shit is over now I think that I can finally write without any major distractions.

Fanfic: My friend was going to make an original metal love song for the story. Life fucked him, now he is not. Need to change the story slightly and then I’ll do my best to post the story within the month.
