Back and Almost in Bisness · 5:03pm Jul 18th, 2013
Hey guys! I'm doing very terrible at my 'only blog about writing' challenge to myself. Oh well. SO, here's the update. I got back from camp a few days ago.... okay almost a week ago. Wow, time really flies! Anyway, I am sad to report that I haven't gotten any writing done. At least, not in anything pony related. Tatsurou got me hooked on things Teen Titans related, and I've spent the last month or so reading anything TT that I can get my hands on. (Some of that stuff is really wrong, but some of the other stuff is hilarious. There was one fanfic where there was a villain names ButlerMan. He was an old man that robbed a tea shop. I was laughing so hard.) I've started dabbling in the TTfics, so I might get one of those written. I forgot what I wrote three weeks ago, but once I get back to it, I'm sure I'll remember. What did I start writing this blog to say? ......OH! I remember! I've got another story lined up for you guys. It's called The Show Must Go On. I've talked about it a little on some of my blogs, and it's almost ready. I just need a couple things before it's set. Like a description.... or the main character's name. The main character's name isn't mentioned in the first chapter, but I'm trying to at least start on the second one before submitting the first. A name might also help with my description problem, seeing as I can NEVER GET ONE WRITTEN! In other news, I'm trying to write some more for Lunar Eclipse, but my idea tank is empty. I've got a couple hundred words on Learning to Fly, but I feel I shouldn't post it until I have enough for a full chapter. That's always hard for me. I write in tiny creative bursts. Fifty words here, a hundred there, thirteen over in that spot... you know? However, I am happy to report that I have been brewing with some pony-related activity. I'm working with a friend of mine on some pony songs, (and some non-pony songs, but hey, they're good too!) and even though we're in the beginning stages of the process, I think they have some real potential. I've just got to read, like a bazillion Vinyl Scratch (or Luna) fics to set the wheels further in motion. Although this might sound silly, I'm kind of excited about these. I'm getting to do the lyrics and vocals - something I've always wanted to put in action - and the first take was AWESOME! I'm no doubt going to tweak the words some more, maybe see if anyone in the area can play the guitar. (I tried.....and failed. A guitar hero, I am not.) We're trying to think about what the instrumentals might sound like, but that's been a road block. Also, I've been painting again, even though nobody cares, I'm going to say it anyway. I'm also going to mention that 'Extra Fine' glitter is hell to clean up after you spill it on the carpet. On the bright side, I can now tell my mom that the floors are 'sparkling', just as she requested. That's just about it, other than the fact that I'm listening to something called 'smooth dubstep'. Yeah, I don't know either. But it sounds pretty good, so I'll put the video on here.
The first one is my favorite, and pretty much the only one I listen to seven times out of ten when I listen to this video. (It's a picture - I'm not going to stare at it for sixteen minutes!)
So, yeah. That's about it. Oh, and I found my glasses. Which I was grateful for when rappelling down the world's STUPIDEST rappelling rock wall. It's not that it was boring, it's just that the layout was so freaking moronic, I was just surprised only ten people slipped. Nobody died, by the way. Just in case yu were wondering. Anyway, I guess I'm done for now (I say that a lot, don't I? Oh well.) Talk to you later!
