It starts out as third person and then reverts to first person
So yeah. Here's a sneak peak:
Princess Twilight Sparkle was nervously walking down the passage of the outer ballroom- the same room that was home to her coronation. The sound of soft, clapping hooves echoed the area as Twilight was scanning the room as she went. Twilight wasn’t just roaming the zone for the heck of it, but was actually here for a peculiar occasion. Princess Celestia- one half of the alicorn goddesses-has called Twilight into this room for a meeting. Details weren’t specified, but that added more to the young alicorn’s anxiety.
“What could it possibly be?” Twilight pondered while walking. “Is this an evaluation or something? Did I screw something up once again?” Twilight grimaced. “Wait, I didn’t do anything recently. It can’t be that.“
Twilight’s walking took an abrupt stop. “Wait, is it because I haven’t done anything recently? It has to be- Princess Celestia’s message looked urgent!” She cringed and glanced her back as she felt her newly grown wings twitch. “Maybe she is gonna chide me for my lack of activity!”
Twilight bared a very confused look on her face as she continued proceeding through the capacious room. She isn’t sure if she is in trouble for not really doing any ‘princess’ stuff, but if she was, she was confused that she never really got any specific guidelines. It isn’t necessarily her fault.
“But, maybe she was testing me? Maybe she was waiting until I acted on intuition and asked what my duty was?” Twilight debated in her head. “That would be the most reasonable guess. I mean, I am expected to be a leader, not a follower."
She sighed. “I’m finished. I know it.”
“What do you mean, finished?” A feminine, but distorted voice called out, echoing in process.
Twilight eyes shot open and her head reverted to the direction of the voice. “Who is that?” Twilight blurted out, shivering slightly.

I don't know what this new story is,but you mentioned Royal Duties, which I read a small portion of. I thought it was very well writen, and that alone would make me like to see what inspiration you got from it.

Post where? A blog post? It's a roleplay clop; unintended, not planned. I did one half, someone else did the other. Maybe if the RP is converted into a story, then I'll be able to show you.

You can just skip to our names, cause it's more or less a seperate scene from the rest of the group. Until after a certain period of time where the group starts to question where the two mares went...
