MY GOD MY CROCHET PLUSHIE IS HERE!!1! ( 3/4s-Full Review Inside) + Kinetics · 12:22am Jul 9th, 2013
Step aside for a moment, please, if you will. Tell me, do you notice anything wrong with this low-quality picture?
Hi!
Yes, you are correct. That is a Luna in my breast pocket.
D'awww
I am proud to introduce LUNA: CROCHETED EDITION (Insert echoes and trumpets), created by Cutie Mark Crocheters, which I bought through Etsy. These wonderful ladies hand-craft each order, and the whole transaction was seamless and quick. Mine was pretty cheap too, only 25.00 USD plus a bit extra for shpping, so if you're interested I'd highly suggest you go check it out. They have a good variety, both big sizes and little 'uns like LuLu up above.
Lil' Big Mac!
Anyways, onto Miss Luna. As you may have noticed, she is designed as she appears in Season One. Why, Habanc? Why are you such a stupid fool? Shut up, she looks much better this way and you know it. Come to your senses already and embrace what should've been.
The build is quite good. All yarn, so far as I can tell, which makes her soft and plush-y. She has a crown and gorget (The latter of which moves around her neck and has a moon on it), along with her mane and tail made from strands of yarn. Her eyes have become small black dots on each side of the head, which attests to the fact that monochromatic, tiny eyes are bestest. So yeah, on top of that, her legs have been reduced to little nubs in this model because, let's face it, that's freakin' cute. Also on the topic of such a topic, her wings are a lil' stubby too, when compared to the size of her body and her head. Also, my cat made taking these pictures impossible. He knocked her over at least a thousand times.
This is AJ. He's tubby, shy, and his meows are the equivalent of angels whispering opera.
Cute and adorability are the prime aspects of this crocheted plushie. No doubt about it. However, I have two minor qualms. One, is that mine seems to be missing a cutie mark on the left side, as you can tell in the second picture. I don't know whether it was done intentionally or not, but it's relatively minor in my book, when put in full scope. Also, her yarn-hair gets everywhere. But that's just me being OCD, even though I think I'm not.
I couldn't get LunaCat like my avatar, so instead I got Luna-with-a-Cat
Overall, 9/10. For my first handmade plushie (and it is a plushie, dammit), I am rather proud of myself. Doubly so, since this was an impulse buy at three in the morning while shopping for a present for Girlie. Which, I guess in a way is sort of ironic, because technically my girlfriend bought me my first plushie, although its machine-mass-produced and I don't personally put it down as a plushie.
Yup. Twiluna IRL.
So, uhh, yep, that's my Luna Crochet Plushie. I love it already because how almost-perfect it is. The horn is a little fat, the wings like to flop out and get in the way, and the gorget is always too far the the right, but that's perfectly fine! Better than fine, even, because it makes it seem so much more... personal, I guess. That's not the right word. I'll think about it and post in the comments once I trek through the dictionary. But, umm, like I said, totally worth it. Go get yourself one, you know you want to.
(I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of Big Mac, but I want that little one too.)
Luna x Earl Grey.

Good news, everyone! Kinetics Chapter Six has been divvied up into two chapters because it was kinda really long (much, much longer than I thought during my last post) and the divide was apparent enough to get out the scalpel. So, what does this mean? Four words:
Sass and battle scenes.
Six should be up any day now.
