I finally watched it. Was in BCN skype chat, someone was watching it. I though, 'why the hell not?'

And it was pretty good.

So lets get to basics. You clearly know the setting so I'll skip the details.

First off, the plot. Very close to what you'd expect from the show. It was core to what they do for episodes. I for one found that the "crush" thing wasn't shoved completely down my throat. Though in the end, Twilight leaves his ass there. I kinda feel bad for Flash. But I think I liked him more as a pony with little lines. Also, I liked how Twilight had to learn to walk upright in the beginning.

My only complaint is the ending where Sunset Shimmer turns into a fucking Demon.

The animation looked nice. The characters made me feel like I was on LSD. They made a humanized pony movie, but the colors really stuck from the show.

Background ponies are there. Take it from a Brony who knows a lot of background ponies. Odds are, you'll have Brony friends trying to name all while pausing the movie.

The songs are nice. I've never been one for musicals, (getting into the show still wasn't a challenge for me. It was resisting.) But I still liked them.

Honestly, this movie could have been worse. I'm a shipper so it was clear that the lovey thing going off bounced off me. But as for Flash himself, you'll see him in a story. Though I'll always stick with Hard Chord for romance based ones.

Also, I couldn't stop laughing at how fat Snips was.

In reality, I liked this movie. Had it been near a theater near me, it would have been the same feeling as going to see a cartoon-turned-movie like Spongebob for me. just realizing that your favorite characters are on the big screen.

So yes, go see the movie. Watch it on Youtube. Whatever.
