Howdy Everypony!
So, I've been experiencing some growing frustrations lately which are not uncommon amongst writers. I know my writing is flawed and amateur, but how am I supposed to improve my skills (or lack thereof) if I accumulate all these dislikes, yet no constructive criticism. I admit, every time I see a new dislike, it stings. That's probably just me being a baby and I try to ignore it. But it would be so nice if you guys could leave comments on why you don't like it so I can fix it up.
I'm going to keep writing like this until somepony, heck, anypony(!) informs me of what I'm doing wrong. In the mean time, you're just going to have to be disappointed.
Thanks for listening to my little rant.
Bye.
Not entirely sure why, but I've noticed that, without fail, every story someone I know puts up gets at least a handful of dislikes. When I put mine up, the vast majority of downvotes I got were at the very start, before I imagine anyone would have had the time to read it. I try not to take it personally, because really, who knows why they downvoted. No real way to tell, and thus, no real reason to fret about it too much.
For the record, what I've read of yours, I've quite liked. It seems well-woven, I like the language, and it seems true to the characters. Plus, you wrote a Gilda fic, which I can't help but love.
1225993 Thank you very much.
I realise now that I shouldn't get too flustered about it, and I've seen so many amazing stories with hundreds of dislikes that I don't believe they deserve. Anyways, as I said, thank you so much!
