Muted Nonsense Preview + Other Stuff

Production on my 'rewrite' is starting up again, I've been... slacking to say to the least.

In the meantime of when I haven't been writing my rewrite, there are some concepts I've been practicing for later use.
That is, if I decide to use them...
I have around 2 thousand words of paragraphs and broken-up chapters of random characters doing random things.

So, if you came here for the title, Muted Nonsense Preview, here you go:

It was the time of tomorrow, and tomorrow was the time of today.
Odd if you think about it, but regardless the next day had become today, obviously.
Celestia's golden sun had risen over the horizon, providing warmth and light to everything on the surface. And pain in Twilight's case.

Lots of it.
Staring into the sun for prolonged amounts of time isn't the best thing to do.

"Ugh." she groaned, lifting herself up from the wooden floor and her face out of the spellbook.
She began coughing up a fit, so much that it eventually woke up Spike, and pretty much any animal outside within a mile radius.

"No Twilight... not now. My birthday isn't for another whole year..." Spike mumbled. Twilight kept coughing and coughing, until it seemed like she could cough no more. And that's exactly what happened.

"What was that Spike?" she asked, slightly coughing a bit more. "Also, remind me not to sleep with my face into a book again, the amount of dust I inhaled is concerning."

"Haha. Yeah. Real funny, Twi. Joke's over. I'm awake now, you can stop playing your silly games."

"Silly games?" she asked. This was new, she never thought Spike would-
He turned around, a completely unamused look on his face. She normally would have found it funny, maybe even cute. But something was off.
Something was... wrong.

Well, that's enough torture for now.
