Equestria/Ponyland Map conversion key *UPDATED* · 5:51am Jun 27th, 2013
Many have taken note of the new map of old Equestria that was recently discovered in the Royal archives. In order to help readers of my historical Treatises, I have created a conversion key showing what towns and regions have become in the modern era of Ponyland.
Tornado Firehooves, Dream Valley Historian
Canterlot= Site of Rainbow Pony monastary, mountain called Canterlot mountian, region around mountian retains Equestria as a place-name
Baltimare= current location of Hoofkaido fortress, Baltimare retained as region name.
Horseshoe Bay= Retains original name. Celestia's Beacon, the ancient great lighthouse of old Equestria, stills stands here, and is used and maintained for navigation
Fillydelphia= capital of Elven kingdom, city retains original name.
Smokey Moutian= Site of Misty Mountian fortress, retains orginal name, but part of the larger Misty mountian range.
Unicorn Range= Rainbow Valley
Crystal Mountians= Purple Mountians
Manehatten= capital of human kingdom, city retains original name.
Tall Tale= Site of Fort Rainbow Dash, Tall Tale retained as region name.
Everfree Forest= Dream Valley- Forest has expanded to enclose former whitetail wood
Ruins= Current site of Dream Castle
Whitetail Wood= Mastificent Forest, kingdom of the Gnomes
Badlands= Blarkland, home of the Blark mole-merchants.
Rambling Rock ridge= Forced volcanic eruption caused by magic, created volcano of gloom
Apploosa= Location of Apploosa trading post, run by buffalo tribes, no ponies living there full time. Land back under Bison control.
Dodge City= leprechaun villages now occupy spot.
Neighagra Falls= Home of the Sea Pony kingdom, waterfall now called Horseshoe falls, body of water Neighagra Sea
Los Pegasus= Located in Flutter Valley, home of the flutter ponies. City converted to thier more rustic capital.
Vanhoover= Site of the Royal paradise, Crystal sea extends all through this northern region, all the way up to the base of the purple mountians. Vanhoover retained as region name.
Hollow Shades= Town still exists in the present. It is rumored to be inhabited by the ghosts of ponies of the Equestria age. Note to travellers- AVOID VERNTURING HERE AT ALL COSTS!
Haysead Swamps= Now home of the various Goblin, Troll, and other monster tribes that plague Ponyland. Northern tip was formerly kingdom of Grundland, home of allied tribe of friendly goblins, but was destroyed by Smooze attack.
San Palomino desert= Now Screea, Home of the Penna brids. who turned there society into a culture based on game and chance.
Bright Valley= Town was built straight north of where the map says Cloudsdale was. On the other side of the grayvale pass is the Tambelon crater, and a Sizable colony of Griffins that have been there as far back as the Equestrian era.
Okay, I just want to be absolutely sure I understand it right is all. So Gen 1 happens AFTER G4? I mean, that's fine, I just want to clarify so I know how to read your work later.

That is correct, the age of Equestria was long before our own modern era.
