I don't think anyone has ever considered doing this before and even if they have I'm pretty sure my list will be different. Like with all other lists of this sort the rankings are my opinion and nothing more.
4. Scootaloo
Even though she's at the bottom I don't have a problem with her. The thing is we know nothing about her except that she idolizes Rainbow Dash and is afraid of what might happen if she doesn't live up to Rainbow Dash's expectations. This isn't entirely bad considering a lot of kids have role models that they look up to but it would be nice to see more of Scootaloo's personal life. An episode that involves her without including Rainbow Dash should be high on Hasbro's to do list, especially an episode that will finally let us see Scooatloo's family because I for one am sick and tired of all those "Scootaloo is an orphan" fics. Even if those fics lead to heartwarming adoption fics. Scootaloo is a lot like Rainbow Dash and seems to be the most thickheaded of the group but unlike Rainbow Dash she actually doesn't to be a bragger.
3. Sweetie Belle
I'm well aware that many of you probably consider her the best crusader simply because of how adorable she is and while I still think she's really cute that alone isn't enough to make her the best in my opinion. In fact I think she's a little overrated as much like Fluttershy and Luna no one ever seems willing to see her in a negative light. She is cute but she's also the most childlike of the CMC and has the most realistic sister relationship. Having a fairly complicated one with Rarity which I'm glad is actually shifting away from the "Don't touch my stuff" relationship that Lauren Faust wanted them to have to some extent. Sweetie Belle has a tendency to be the most innocent but she seems to be more of a follower and sometimes acts without thinking things through. In "Sisterhooves Social" she was at fault at first for touching Rarity's stuff without asking, good intentions or not she caused more problems then she solved. But hey at least out of all the CMC she can sign the greatest.
2. Apple Bloom
Much like Applejack I think Apple Bloom gets no love. She's usually less sterotypical then her sister and at times even seems to be smarter then her but the problem is that most of the time her sister relationship with Applejack is too perfect. Much like Applejack Apple Bloom is so down to earth even as a child that's kind of hard to make her learn new lessons, especially since she seems to be the most levelheaded. Her interaction with Granny Smith is decent but I've yet to see how her sibling relationship with Big Macintosh is. Now that I think about it an Apple Bloom and Big Macintosh episode sounds pretty good, guess I can add that to my list of episode ideas. At times Apple Bloom can be even cuter then Sweetie Belle especially since one brony on this site said that he can't help but feel like Apple Bloom is a dog every time he sees her. It also helps that Apple Bloom appeared earlier in the show then her fellow crusaders even if nowadays she seems to spend all her time with them. Originally she was my favorite crusader, partially because of some memes that spawned from her attempts at selling apples in "Call of the Cutie" but as you can tell that's no longer the case.
1. Babs Seed
Even though her debut episode gave her a role that could've easily gone to Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon Babs Seed instantly became my favorite crusader when she did what none of the other CMC were willing to do, and that was stand up to Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon and show them that she wasn't going to put up with their antics. It's also intresting how her design is darker aspects of the CMC's designs, her mane and tail are a darker red then Apple Bloom's, her coat is a darker orange then Scootaloo's, and her eyes are a darker green then Sweetie Belle. I also have to admit her Brooklyn accent is pretty cute especially when in "Apple Family Reunion" she said "I can't feel my tounge." and an intresting thing to note is that she's apparently a bit more chubby then the rest of the CMC which only further helps her stick out and adds diversity to the show. I really hope we see more of her in Season 4 and perhaps even see her family, we know she has a big sister and that's she part of the Apple Family but it would be nice to what her life in Manehattan is like. Not to mention her promises to start a Manehattan branch of the CMC has a lot of potential for world building and perhaps even character development.

1158652 Come on admit it without Rainbow Dash Scootaloo has nothing going for her and that needs to change. She can still see Rainbow Dash an idol and big sister but she deserves to have a life outside of that.
I consider Lincoln my idol and yet I don't build my life entirely around him.
Babs is my favorite cutie mark crusader, but unlike you, One Bad Apple is my favorite episode in the whole series.
