The Last of Us crossover

I just recently got and beat The Last of Us and while I was playing, I had the idea of doing a crossover with MLP. Now my writing skills aren't good enough to tackle something like this, but I'd love to see it play out. I was thinking of which ponies would be in lace of the different characters in the game.

Big Mac = Joel
Scootaloo = Ellie
Zecora = Marlene
Applebloom = Sarah
Applejack = Tommy
Cheerilee = Tess
Rarity = Henry
Sweetie Belle = Sam
Gilda = Bill
Caramel or Shining Armor (Couldn't decide) = Maria
Trixie = David

Now I'm not sure how many people have played that game yet, but I think it'd be pretty sweet if someone were to do a crossover. You could have your own ideas about which ponies would best represent which characters, but I like my selection. Regardless, let me know if someone is working on one. That game kicks ass.

I don't personally like the idea of creating an actual fleshed out crossover for a game like this. The Last of Us is more character driven than setting driven, and there's not much I think the Universe could do for the ponies or the ponies could do for it. It'd most likely end up another generic zombie crossover, and God knows we don't need another one of those on fimfiction . I gotta give props for your character alignments, though. They were mostly spot on. I especially like the idea of Tess being equivalent to Cheerilee, considering the whole unrequited love thing going on between her and Joel (and everyone loves the CheeriMac ship).

I'd like to see a good ol' fashioned 'hero gets inexplicably transported to Equestria' fanfiction. They're always more fun, a lot easier to get a grip of, rife with those beautiful character interaction moments, and not dragged down by constant melancholy affliction that tends to only be good when done with a special kind of talent not held by many authors. I think relatively anyone could pull off a fic where Joel ends up in Equestria and has to find a way to get back to Ellie. My own personal headcanon - spoiler alert - is Joel was having a crazy, pony-replete nightmare while sick with that infection he'd obtained in his abdomen after losing that pint of blood. In Equestria, he could have all his guns, and he could tell horrible stories about his past to the mane six, and he'd have to arrange sleeping quarters, and have to deal with a new - if temporary - life full of ponies and friendship. The whole thing makes me wanna squee . 'Tis been on my mind for such a long time, now.

I think even you could handle it. It's a relatively easy prompt, and one only has to have played the game and watched the show to get the characters down pat. Someone's gotta do it. I don't even care who .

I love how you matched up the mlp characters with the last of us ones, but I disagree with Trixie. If this were my fic, I'd just use an OC pony for David, because no one comes close enough to his personality.

I'd also pick Caramel because Shining's married, though it'd be interesting to see Shining having fallen in love after losing Cadence or something. Still, I'd just find the whole thing too weird, so Caramel's a safer bet.

Otherwise, perfect casting!

I really wouldn't mind trying to write this but what about the truck the hunters have? or the truck Joel and Ellie have for a bit. you know because ponies don't have cars or guns
And as for a few more characters like Robert, Frank and maybe even Ish form all of the notes.
and biggest problem what about the horses because that would be wired a pony riding a horse
if i get some help with all of that i will try but no promises and if i do wire it Fimfiction dos-int like my punctuation. so it might not happen. The Last of us is my all time favorite game
