From what ive noticed, it only seems that Rainbow is the most popular pony. I mean, we see merch of her everywhere. Hell, my favorite jacket is basically her pelt.
But why is she so....overrated?
Im thinking its because her name is so closely related to the show. Ask any non-brony to name a pony and chances are itll be either her or Pinkie. Dont get me wrong, i love Dash. Shes my favorite pony, but for a good reason.
When i was little gen 3 was around and i was into it completely. My favorite toy was ponies. But my favorite pony was Dash for some reason. I dont know why, but that pushed over into gen 4.
But what ive noticed in the fandom is that Fluttershy is the most popular pony. There are more songs, art, and fanfics about her than Twi and Pinkie combined. I dont say dash because theyre probably on even turf here.
