Post-Apocalyptic Celestia and Filly Twilight. · 9:38pm Jun 5th, 2013
Just an idea I've had bouncing around my head for a while.
A horrible cataclysm tears apart Equestria and the rest of the world shortly after Twilight becomes Celestia's student: moon is torn to pieces, climates are wrecked, all is bad. Essentially it would be Celestia teaching Twilight about magic and friendship (they would probably end up coming across the other fillies eventually) while searching for whatever broke their world and a way to fix it.
Unlike all the other post apocalyptic fics though, I would have a challenge set for myself: I want this ruined world to still feel like it's the ponies world; to still feel like a world where hope and friendship can save everything, not some ultra-violent, hopeless wasteland that would have no place in the show. I'm looking at you Fallout Equestria.
In short, a post-apocalyptic story with minimal grimdark and still retaining the relatively chipper MLP feel.
Of course Nightmare Woon would not be dropped in favor of this. Filly Nightmare Moon being an adorable jerk is too much fun to give up. And you know my track record with stories and ideas, so take all this (bar the not stopping Woon) with a grain of salt.
What would you think of story like that?
