Alright, so I finally got around to making this blog post like I said I would. Anyways, let's just say that John doesn't like the spotlight very much (not at all). He feels as though his whole life up to this point has been boring and meaningless. He also pretty much considers himself a Lone Wolf within society, as most of his "friends" throughout life have enjoyed the activity of stabbing him in the back. On the outside of his soul, you have the mask. This is where he put many of his emotions to calm others and tell them that he is fine and yada yada yada. The layer below that, you have the actual thoughts. Here, there is a lot of criticism towards others, along with quite a bit of sarcasm, but is only voiced on occasion. It is here where the unvoiced thoughts within Lunar Phases come from. Below that layer, is the layer he feels of depression. It mostly stems from his hate of this world, often wishing to enter a world where he could truly be happy; like MLP: FiM for example. The second-to-last layer is where most of his rage is stored. He had many anger issues as a child, but as he grew older, he found that his rage often hurt others, and so, he began to bottle it up. So far, the only release of this rage was in the chapter "Dinner and a Show". Now, at his very core, he is simply hollow. Or perhaps empty. It's kind of hard to explain, but I'm pretty sure you get the point. Normally, it would be here that emotions such as deep love and great friendship are stored, but he killed it so as to make sure he would not be affected by anything terrible. Alright, I know this sounds terribly cliche, but it is the closest I could get to describing what he is truly like. Also, don't worry, because progress on the next chapter is going well, and may or may not be out soon. I honestly don't know, so I'll just keep you guys waiting MWAHAHAHAHA!!!
Ok, yeah, I did a terrible job of describing his personality, but I'm describing his inner feelings that will never be written, so refer to stories like "Total Eclipse of the Sun" and the most recent chapter of "Earning Wings of a Different Nature" to see what others perceive him/her as.
