A New Equestria quarterly report 2/ One shot ideas? · 5:59am May 26th, 2013
With the recent chapter, 'Victoriam in detrimento,' we have reached the half way point to my 50k word goal with A New Equestria!
With the end of the part just in time for the half way point, I see not reaching this goal a near impossibility. If I do reach this goal I will begin working on the first side story to A New Equestria right after the publishing of the final chapter of A New Equestria. At the moment I have two side stories planed before I even begin thinking about doing a full sequel (which I would classify as having more then 40k words). Weather I do or not will be determined by how popular the side stories are. So once they are released go read them if you want to see more of A New Equestria.
Right now the first side story is planned to focus on the exploits of the group Umbra Equestria, and be a two or three chapter comedy. The second one will follow Midnight Star and take place at the same time as the first side story. This means that if an event happens in the first one that happens near where Midnight is at that time, chances are you will see her reaction to the same event in the second one.
Weather or not the second side story will take place in first person or in third person limited I do not know yet.
Both Side stories will take place after the first main story.
Now, onto One shot stories.
I've been thinking of doing a couple of one shot stories, that do not have to do with the A New Equestria. Though I can't really decide on what to do first.
Here are a couple of the ideas going around my head:
1. Spike/pony sent through time.
2. Something to do with Trixie, be it a backstory or after Magic Duel.
3. Vinyl Scratch?
What are your thoughts? (NO CLOPFICS! I absolutely refuse to do them.)
