Should've seen this coming a mile away. With how SONY approached their Next-Gen 'Console', it should come as no surprise that Microsoft would also screw the pooch in that regard. I really had hoped they wouldn't be dumb enough to do some of the shit they did. So let's take a look at some of what these dumbasses did wrong.
1. It looks like a fucking VCR. Hell, if that's all it took to get a shit ton of money from designing a console shell I could be a millionaire right meow.
2. Can't play pre-owned games without paying a fee before/after installing the disc. This is gonna eat up a shit ton of memory on your HDD if you play a lot of games.
3. Kinect Mandatory and voice control? No thanks. I don't want to be yelling into the mic at my friends and my XBOX somehow decide that it wants to order me take-out or something stupid like that.
4. We can now watch TV on our XBOX ONE. Cool huh? We can watch TV on our TV while we eat up power using our XBOX.
5. Who the hell in the developing department thought up the name 'XBOX ONE' anyhow? Fucking Moon-Moon? We've roughly translated it into "Hey gamers, thanks for the support and all, but we're gonna take 359 steps back and fuck you in the ass.
6. Microsoft is basically Stan's (EA) stalwart bitch now. Guess what guys? You can buy the XBOX, but this controller will cost you if you actually want to play.
7. It's no longer even a true gaming system. It's turned into a family entertainment and social media device that plugs into your TV... iPhone/Android on roids?
Conclusion: Microsoft done fuckered up somethin' fierce. I can guarantee you that their usual profit margins are gonna drop like a rock with what they've done to gamers and even the "I can't really afford a brand new game" community. So yeah, if ya'll wanna save yourself countless hours of rage, you'll be better off building yourself a good gaming PC, it'll probably be cheaper anyway...
Got a good selection of gaming PC materials? I've only ever built 1 PC in my life, and that was for a class in High School, almost five years ago.
