A New Equestria quarterly report. · 9:29pm May 19th, 2013
Well, with the new chapter, a short 2.5k word chapter, we have reached the quarter way of my 50k word goal for this story. With so much left I want to do with A New Equestria that goal is in sight. I made the goal so that I would work myself, as the problem I had with Chaos Controlled was pacing. I had tried doing so much in so little words with Chaos Controlled, that it actually failed. Though Chaos Controlled ended with 21k words making it the longest finished work I have, that I didn't scrap.
Even still, I want to push myself with A New Equestria. I want to break all of my records in this single story. And I want you all to enjoy the ride with me. A New Equestria isn't all about Twilight and friends setting up the new colony of Equestria's, in fact at the time of the story it's the only colony. It's more about me pushing myself to become a better writer. It's about me following my own advice and putting my heart into a story, one that I hope you would enjoy.
Now, I know A New Equestria probably wont get as big as Past Sins, An affliction of the Heart, Harmony Theory, or other big name 'brony house hold' stories. But just the few people who read it, the few who sit there sending comments back and forth between me and them. You make me want to push myself. Just sitting there reading it, helps me. Every time I logged on the past few days, ever sense I started writing it, I would see that someone interacted with the story. And that right there makes me proud of myself, and makes me want to write the next chapter even better then the last. The story it self doesn't make me feel pride, but that people enjoy it does. Having only been released into brony eyes earlier this week it already has a 7:2 like:hate ratio with 229 views and 7 more favorites then Chaos Controlled.
I hope to see all of you at the end of this book. I hope to be able to shake your hands and say that it was you that made this story possible.

PSS I'll make two more of these reports one at the halfway mark, and another 3/4 of the way. (Which, I hope is 37.5k words.)
