The great Pre-ED submission clean-up! · 4:41pm Mar 24th, 2012
Well, seems like Monday came early this week. Chapter three of Dude, We're Ponies is up and running. I think I spread the jokes a little thin this chapter, but at least I'm satisfied the way the narrative turned out. Please don't kill me.
Anyhow, that's three chapters. that means that I have officially proven to myself that I'm not completely a one-hit wonder, and should be looking for a bigger audience. And what better audience is there then Equestria Daily? Of course, those people won't take just anything, so a little clean-up on my story is required. Let's put on our Twilight-hat and make a checklist:
1) Fix whatever spelling and grammar mistakes have been pointed out in the comments
2) Tweak the prose for better flow. see if you can add some words to the vocabulary.
3) Find some proofreaders to give it a final once-over.
4) Fix whatever flaws they might find.
And for the optional goals:
1) Do something about chapter 2 that makes me hate it less.
2) Fix whatever might be wrong with chapter 3
3) And while I'm at it, see if you can do something to improve chapter 1.
Well, got my work cut out for me. Will do tomorrow, since I'm bloody tired of typing right now. Until then, I'll just be wondering if I can play with the big boys. Smell you all later!
Don't know if you already have one, but if not you need a prereader before you can even think of getting anything on Equestria Daily. From the looks of it you don't have anyone mentioned, so I'm assuming no one else pre-read your chapters. to EqD your following won't get you anywhere, they only judge by the quality of the fic. I HAPPEN to know someone who may be willing to help increase the quality of your chapters. Especially in terms of grammar and sentence fluency.
I'm not talking about myself.
Alright, I'm talking about myself.
42802 Finding some people to proofread happens to be item 3 on the list. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hm, I must have just passed over that step. I herped. Alright, I'll get to work on the first one. I'm going to copy and paste the story into a google doc and give you commentary on everything. Cheers.
