okay human!twi trying to eat an apple like a pony was actually kind of funny but that was the best part of the whole thing
EDIT 2: AHAHAHAHAHA
The apple eating part was probably the best part of the trailer.
The official statement is going to read something like: "With this we tried to recapture what made MLP attractive to young children (girls) in the first place, while going with the current trend and 'brony' fandom surrounding the series."
By which they mean: Screw you guys, we're going to sell TOYS!

I'm trying to keep open-minded about it -- I mean, FIM's taught me that much -- but I have to admit that it just looks like a cheesy pony-on-earth fanfic . . . animated and voiced by the people who make the "real" show, apparently.
My problem with it is not the humanization (though I personally don't like it) no, my problem is that they're making it a back-to-stereotype high school wannabe drama kind of thing.
We don't need that shit anymore

Agreed. The thing that strikes me as particularly weird is how backwards the whole premise seems. Twi and Co. are presumably in their early 20s, so why is Twi going back to high school? High school drama is tiresome at the best of times, but even more so when the characters aren't actually in high school.

Oh god that would be the only way they could redeem this.
On a semi-related note, I'm actually writing a short story (non-pone) based on Carrie right now. Might put it up in a blog one of these days.
