PPToD Chap 2 and My Writing Process

Chapter 2 is out! Yay!

Writing the first half of this chapter gave me a headache because I kept compulsively crowding it with abundant alliteration. While I was writing, every thought that went through my head was then alliterated, and I kept getting distracted re-writing my thoughts. That is like a miniature personal hell.

Anyway, let's talk about my writing process. My weaknesses as a writer include a short attention span and lots of self-degradation. If I don't finish things all in one go (and I never do), then I will have time to start doubting myself and messing everything up. I tend to leave the computer a lot, come back for a little writing, and in-between, do other stuff. Like tonight, I went and read The Day My Beard Turned Into Pinkie Pie, and it was so amazing that I had to look at my own fic and feel defeat.

But thankfully, you guys have already been a huge encouragement by giving me so many views, tracks, and positive comments in just a day or two. I never get this much feedback for... anything! Not even my other pony-related stuff. There just aren't a lot of outlets which are as easy to be seen on as this one. It's very nice and very conducive to inspiration.

I was able to go through with writing chapter 2 because I knew that people had liked chapter 1, and IMO, chapter 2 is much better. I still think there needs to be a lot more character interaction, but there are places for that later in the story.
