So how about a story?

I’m an average nobody on this site right now. Everybody starts out as a nobody when they initially enter a new social group; it’s the initial action that one chooses to take that ultimately changes this social standing. Such initial action, however, determines whether one is looked upon as good or bad in the public’s eyes; changing this new public-determined social standing becomes rather difficult. That being said, I want my initial work on here to be in good standing with the community. I realize that I cannot and will not satisfy the desires of everyone, but I will still try my best.

Now to go into what I plan on starting with as a basis for my first few fics. I am an avid Fallout Equestria fic reader. I understand that such fics are not for everyone and that many incorporate the elements which some, including myself, do not endorse. Why Fallout Equestria? Because no other stories seem to posses the overflowing amounts of emotion, action, and mystery that Fallout Equestria fics provide. These fics utilize the world of Friendship is Magic as a backstory which instantly gives most Brony readers an emotional connection to characters of the past, while simultaneously telling a new & action-packed story with brand new characters. To restate what I said before, I want my first efforts on here to leave a good impact. To do this I want to do something far more ambitious than simply writing another FOE fic.

I intend on writing an FOE fic that does more than stem off from the original FOE. Most FOE fics only utilize the original FOE and possibly the super popular Project Horizons, Heroes, and/or Pink Eyes fics as source material. This is fine, but I want to go farther. Did anyone notice that I never called FOE fics aside from the original sidefics? This was intentional and based on a personal view of the FOE universe. Calling something a sidefic detracts from its value and implies that there is no connection with the official FOE universe. I do not wish to look upon these fics as separate entities but as one whole picture. Fallout Equestria in general is non-canon to the official MLP Friendship is Magic story line, but that does not mean it can't be its own separate entity. Every FOE fic tells a different story, but they are all connected due to the consistency of world, background, and elements from the original Fallout Equestria story.

So how does this unified view of the FOE universe affect my fic? To put it simply, I’m going to implement this unified view into my story. I intend on using my fic to clarify continuity or context issues in fics where ideas contradicted one and other, originally forcing the reader to only accept one or neither of the conflicting fics as part of the FOE universe. I intend on explaining reasons for specific common elements in FOE fics. Many FOE fics as possible will be used as source materials for this fic to truly give a united view of the FOE universe. In addition this fic will try to explain continuity issues due to new story directions in season 3 of Friendship is Magic that seemed to disconnect the FOE universe from its own background.

Unfortunately not every FOE fic will be accepted as source material for the fic. Fics that will not be utilized include fics that contain elements that contradict the original Fallout Equestria, fics that incorporate humans or characters/species directly from the real world or non-Friendship is Magic fantasy worlds (there are few exceptions, like the very limited use of humans in Fallout Equestria Broken Steel), fics that involve all or most of Equestria being rebuilt after the original, and fics that take place 300 years plus after the original.

As probably guessed. this fic takes place a long time after the original. The idea is to create a setting different yet similar to the original. This story is intended on creating its own story arc that can be branched off of, akin to what was accomplished by Fallout Equestria. As such, the story will include an addition to the Fallout Equestria title that will indicate the new story arc.
