For the few of you who might still have your hopes up...

...I'm abandoning Underoverworked.

Pretty much ever since I finished writing the last chapter I've been trying to figure out where I'm supposed to go with this story and really haven't gotten anywhere, and instead of forcing any of you to wonder whether or not it'll ever update, I'm just going to be blunt and tell you right now that it won't.

I know this probably disappoints a few of you, and I'm sorry, but there's plenty of ponyfic out there, and honestly a lot of it is a whole lot better than mine. There's better comedy, better stuff with the Royal Sisters, better stuff with Twilight, better stuff examining the characters, better everything, written by authors who can actually update in a timely fashion. Go searching and I'm sure you won't remain disappointed for long.

And in case you expect anything else from me, well... I wouldn't get your hopes up there either. Everything I come up with anymore is either a tired concept or strains characterization. I'm starting to think ponyfic simply isn't something I have the talent to do well. Besides, if I can't finish this story, what makes me think I can finish another?

That said, I appreciate all of you taking the time to track and comment and letting me know what you think, good or bad. I hope you find someone to give that time to who is more deserving.
