A Comedy of Terrors 2.0- Planned Features · 5:58am Apr 28th, 2013
So I already made a blog post about how I'm putting A Comedy of Terrors through some very extensive editing. It's like I say I'm fixing a house, but I'm really building a better house and calling it the first house.
But this is here because I just want to let you know: the story you read when I'm done with this will be very different than the one you've read before! Here's some problems I've found with the original story:
-Nightmare Moon is too friendly with Discord in earlier chapters
-Random humor isn't that funny and is taking up far more space than comedy and adventure
-Blueblood is pointless, he needs the axe
-Celestia is too Trolly for my tastes
-The battle sequence on the train is awkward
-Some useless characters like Dr. Cortex, One Shot, Other Option and Candied Apple need to go
And I was considering some very, very major changes to the plot as well: it being only ten years in the future is on my mind, and I'm thinking of making the story just a tiny bit darker.
What do you guys think?
I think the futuristic nature of the story definitely defined some aspects, though I think it could work without. It might even work better. Sorry, not sure I have enough of an opinion to give an opinion.
1040286 Yeah, that's alright. I was also thinking of adding Twilicorn compatibility in this update too. Those fabulous bastards at EQD won't know what hit 'em!
Oh, and I had forgotten to ask: I was going to post all my finished rewrites of the chapters on Google docs, and have a chosen few look them over as they come out. Would you do the honors of doing that for me?
