Improved Writing Style · 7:21am Mar 21st, 2012
Thanks to the massive amount of feedback I got on "Discord Babysitting" on FIMFiction, I was finally able to get some insight into improving my writing style. I tend to start paragraphs with "He does this" or "She says this" and honestly that gets old fast, so I need to work on spicing it up even in group conversations. Also I tend to write in present tense, but people want a past tense so it feels like they're getting told a story. I used to write like this actually, but I have a passion for screenplay, and after a class I took in college it apparently subconsciously changed the way I write my stories. I didn't even notice until three or four find Gentlecolts pointed this out to me, and now I'm working on giving you what you people deserve. PAST TENSE! From this point on I will do this, improving my writing style completely! Since going back and editing all my previous work would be a pain in the ass, the next chapter I write in each of my series I'll just add a ((IWS)) signify the change to awesomeness for the story. What? I've been super lazy lately. -w-
In other news I still got a few fictions I want to write, and I'll get to them soon enough. For example, "Discord Babysitting" which has many probably anticipating part 3 "Rarity". I do intend on doing the entire mane six, and then a 2 part special for the princesses. But who else do you people want to see? Speaking of improved writing style, I've begun my practice in this regard with a fiction not MLP related. I stars a bunch of my many OC characters, and soon a few of my friends characters as well. It's on my deviant art in case anyone would like to give it a look see. WARNING: This fiction and later chapters contain pantsing, mooning, spanking, insectoid robots, flashed boobies, flashed manly chests, super heroes, furries, humans, wedgies, mystical creatures, and epic battle scenes. Yes, it's one of those kinds of fictions, and I'm very proud of what I have so far and can't wait to write more.
