So, it completely passed me by, but I recently realized that I've been a member of Fimfiction for over a year now. Pretty cool stuff, I suppose.
That also means that I started my first fic, Elements of Unity, over a year ago. And it's still not finished. Like, not even halfway. Yep.
So yeah, I'm probably not going to finish it. My only real motivation to do so is the satisfaction of finishing something that I started, especially because I do actually have how it ends in mind. The only reason I wrote it was as an outlet for a silly childhood fantasy of mine, and looking back on it, it's pretty VERY shoddily written. 
Which is why I'm sure you all don't really care anyways (and if you do, I don't blame you if you hate me now).
In other news, I am about ready (I think) to release a story that's been in the works for almost a year as well. Which isn't to say that it's at all long, just that it's an idea I like enough that I didn't just give up on it midway through. (This may also be in part due to the fact that it seems immune to my curse, which is that if I have an idea that I like enough to actually start working on, a story with the exact premise will end up in the featured box and on EQD exactly when I'm halfway finished. Every. Fucking. Time.)
I won't spoil what it's about yet, but I will say this: it's a far-future sci-fi, it attempts to explain 99% of the MLP universe in a way that makes reading about talking ponies feel less silly, and that it takes an idea that's so universally hated it's reached meme-tier, and turns it into something convincing and enjoyable (I hope).
Oh, also the story is called Sins of a Species, as a heads up for when it releases.
