A New Equestria book 2 is being put on an unofficial hiatus.

So, as many of you may have noticed, most of the updates the past couple of weeks have been for Blackened Night. As you know, I am one person. And one person can only do this so quickly. Especially when talking of works that are based off of creativity.

A New Equestria, Blackened Night, and Ravenwood Academy.

Forgive my unscheduled disappearance, there were other factors in my life going on at the time, which prevented me from getting onto this site, or my Patreon.

On that note, I will be attempting to upload new chapters as often as I can, and until further notice, the Patreon is on hiatus. I will not be uploading anything there until further notice.

    A note on the holidays

Well, it's nearly Christmas, and I have no plans right now to do any Christmas Special/Oneshot. At least, not at the moment. Instead, from now until January 1st, I'll be posting one to three chapters a day. I'll be holding off on doing the Patreon Exclusive until the new year, as well these chapters during the holidays will be free to download on Patreon, instead of charging for them.

A New Equestria book 2 chapter 23 preview.

Well, the Chapter Preview for A New Equestria book chapter 23 is up on my Patreon Page. As I said, this chapter will be approximately 2k words, so that's why there's been a delay.

On Makavar's Journal and random musings · 6:43am Apr 2nd, 2013

Well, with the beginning of The story of the past in the next chapter, as well as the introduction to Makavar's Journal I begin the second middle arc of Chaos Controlled. Hoping that with the addition to Makavar's Journal at the end of each Arch will be both a review of event's mentioned in the story, through Makavar's eyes, as well as give subtle hints as to what will happen within the next Story Arc.
I do not know if I'll be making ANY side stories to Chaos Controlled, or to the second book when it's done. I may do a Changling story, as the concept of Changelings I enjoy. Makavar in fact can, technically, be 'classified' as a changeling as he has the ability to change his shape on a whim. Though, unlike the Changelings, he has no 'true' form, as opposed to the changelings bug-like 'true' form.
One thought, that actually crossed my mind while writing this, is that because of Changeling nature, we actually don't know that is even their true form. Yes, it indeed is the accepted true form, but how do we know if there isn't another layer to the puzzle? What if the Changelings found a way to hide there true forms from even Celestia? In my previous blog I, technically, questioned the claim of 'all-powerfulness' of Celestia and Luna. My 'claim' that they aren't as all powerful as they say, or as is accepted, is mirrored in the Youtube video, Luna's Cutie Mark by SillyFilly studios. In the video, Luna had trouble lifting the Moon into the sky, though when she succeeded she did get her cutie mark. It still mirrors my claim. Alicorns may not be as powerful as the ponies believe.
In the famous story 'Past Sins' by Pen Stroke, this idea is seen as well. After Nyx is returned to her 'original' shape, that of a filly, by Luna she has trouble even lifting a book using magic. The same problem Twilight had, as seen in the show. This implies that Alicorns, as well as Unicorns, grow in magical ability as they grow older, or as they use magic. The sheer age of Celestia and of Luna makes this claim even more powerful, as both could be thousands of years old. (Remember, the show only said Luna was sealed away a thousand years ago, they still could have been thousands of year old at that time.)
Returning to subject, if Celestia isn't all powerful, as we are led to believe, then it would be easy for a race that we hardly know about, to hide their true true form. Why wouldn't it be? We hardly now anything about them, because Celestia herself didn't tell anypony. We know this because of Twilight's reaction to discovering that Cadence wasn't Cadence. She mentioned nothing of Changelings. Now, we can pass that off as attempting to create suspense, but when looking at it from the point of view that I just put forth, it raises one question: What if Celestia also isn't all knowing? The majority of Celestia's actions seen within the show, as well as how she is portrayed by other ponies talking of her, implies that she is Omnipotent and Omniscient. Now, I'll actually pas that off as true, had I not re-watched some of the episodes and noticed inconsistencies.
Yes, I would love to pass Celestia off as who she 'appears' to be on the surface. We all would. Well, most of us would. But if she was, then why couldn't she stop Nightmare Moon herself? If one is all powerful, then that should be an easy task. In fact, why would Celestia need the Elements if she herself was all powerful and all knowing?
Yes, if she didn't need them then we wouldn't have Friendship is Magic. And there we have it right there. On the surface it looks like the writers are portraying Celestia as the All knowing mentor to Twilight Sparkle, and the All powerful Ruler of Equestria. But then why would she ask for the use of the Elements of Harmony? Would it be for the sole purpose of teaching Twilight? That seems to be a rather dangerous road. As there is always the fifty/fifty chance that hey may fail. This assumption of presented facts, leads me to believe that the writers put a second layer to Celestia's Character. That Celestia is not all knowing but wise. Why else would she put faith in her student, on matters where if Twilight failed could mean the end of Equestria.
Going back to the Canterlot wedding, Celestia would have easily found out that 'Cadence' was in fact the Queen of the Changelings, had she been all knowing, as all knowing means you know everything about everything. Why then did she let the farce go on as long as it did? Her line in the show ("Now that you have revealed yourself...") implies that she in fact only knew of the plot, not the person behind it. Therefore, the all knowing couldn't be true.
Well, I'm done rambling on for now, have a fun evening/morning/day/night, or when ever your reading this. I shall cease boring you.
