Wow, I just realised that I haven't done a blog for nearly a month. That's a lot of time. I've been taking life too seriously, if you've been wondering. Life isn't meant to be taken seriously. I've been updating a story every couple of weeks, doing my studies, keeping my head down and whatnot, but I cannot honestly say that I've had fun. In fact, over the past few months, it's been the same kind of thing. Writing has become a bit of a chore, and once every couple of days, I've had a little voice in my head say: "hey, Trials, those guys probably want you to write stuff. I'm not guaranteeing anything, but you know. Hop to it." I don't know why, but I've been drowning that voice out. For all intents and purposes, I didn't even know I was doing it, and it's taken me this long to notice. It would always start with me opening a document, and end with me 'researching' on the internet about some random shit that I probably wouldn't even remember in the next couple of days or would need to know in future life. Interestingly enough, did you know that a brown recluse spider has a bite that can result in necrosis?
With that in mind, I've decided to go back to the good, ol' days. I'm going to dabble with new genres, most likely fail and then desperately, repeatedly return to refreshing FiMfic, hoping that a notification will pop up. You know that thing called romance? Well, I'mma do it. Obviously, not in real life, for I don't really care one way or the other, but I'm going to write a fic about it. Going to have a fancy word from a fancy language for a fancy title, too. Well, I say 'romance'... sorry, guys, but I'm going to have to put some kind of twist on it. After all, where's the fun in reading a story with an actual, life-like scenario? Life is boring as fuck. You wouldn't play an ultra-violent, ultra-'realistic' game to obey the rules of life. It'd be like playing Grand Theft Auto whilst obeying the speed limit and traffic lights. It'd be like playing Saints' Row whilst trying to retain a normal image for a gang. It'd be like playing Battlefield 3 whilst realising that you were just about to revive a guy with a defibrillator, who had, only seconds ago, jumped out of jet-shaped fireball, proceeded to freefall for approximately one kilometer, only to hit the ground at terminal velocity, as if some puppeteer controlling the soldier had suddenly, and rather unexpectantly, cut the strings or ran out of battery fuel in their sick, disturbing controller.
I feel like I'm getting off topic here...
Anywho, in short, I'm getting back to writing for shits and giggles. To those worried about 'Population: One', that will continue as usual (new chapter every two weeks or so). Don't forget, you fellow Brits out there, our clock moves forward an hour tonight. I don't really know how many Brits there are on this site... I know knighty is, even though it doesn't really matter, I guess.
Finally, a song for thee:
Sassy, original and nice animation. I like it. I like it a lot.
Thought there are only like 3 or 4 people who actually want to read more of my story(because its kinda bad, my first so hopefully itll get better along the road.) I often open up the text doc, stare at it, do some internet, and then close it. For me its probably because I dont have the motivation but i dunno. Its good to try new genres. I was going to try my hand at second person soon, so I hope that goes well.
959760 Well, I know what that feels like, friend. If you need any help, you can always shoot me a PM.
959905 Indeed I will, thanks for the support, if you ever wanna give my crappy story a read, id be obliged in your doing so. Its short so you dont have to suffer much.
If you do, I want MAX criticism.
