A Question for my Readerbase · 10:48pm Mar 20th, 2013
I've had an idea for a fic that's been steadily growing on me, and it's been raising this question: "Should this be in continuity with 'To Be a Better Stallion'?"
Bit of context: The sequel would not center around Blueblood and Rarity, and they would in fact play a minor support role and somewhat more major support role.
The story would center on another canon character who had a somewhat significant role in TBaBS, and who the story did leave some interesting effects on, although those are not 100% central to the new story.
All in all, To Be a Better Stallion would mostly provide some background to the new story, continuity jokes, and so forth.
So, I ask, readerbase: The new story can work either way. Should I write it with or without the continuity? Which would you enjoy reading more?
With the continuity, no contest in my mind.
Continuity, ftw.
I absolutely loved To Be a Better Stallion, I actually think that it was the first fic i ever Favorited (holy shit that was a while ago) and it is still one of my favorite fics out there, so I'm definitely going to have to say keep with the continuity.
Absolutely. Repeat after me: "companion piece".
Reaffirming the yea vote for continuity.
I would vote to do it. I think it could be fun.
