Some Old Stuff · 2:34am Mar 14th, 2013
Here's some old drabble I wrote in my spare time. Thought you guys might wanna see it. Or maybe not. Maybe you're so sick of seeing me you just want to bash me with a pillowcase full of pennies. Anyhow, here it is.
I, The Abomination
Idleness would not dissipate it.
Action would not deter it.
The silent screams clawed the shadows of their throats.
Soundless.
Shapeless.
Without color nor emotion nor origin.
It was always there, yet never there before.
Only the vague memories of what may or may not have been remain.
Everywhere at once.
Yet nowhere at all.
There were other sounds, too.
Laughing.
Chortling hollering chuckling snickering.
Crying.
Wailing sobbing choking whimpering.
They all bled together into a single mass of noiselessness.
And then they stopped.
And then they came back.
But they never left.
They were never there to begin with.
The laughing and crying.
They were only there sometimes.
The screams.
The screams were always there.
The pure embodiment of fear and fury.
Separated by a wall of nothing.
Encompassed by everything and itself.
It flowed through the veins of chaos as life-fluid.
As poison.
It heaved to a wild, erratic heartbeat, each thump sounded a voice.
A screaming voice.
A staccato of terrible agony.
A blade piercing the heart.
A claw rending the flesh.
A hand breaking the neck.
A fist crushing the bone.
And they answer.
The voices.
Oh, the voices.
They sang, they spat, they shouted, they screamed.
Thousands of voices radiated outward like thunder.
Like a drip of blood.
You monster.
You monster.
You monster.
“I know...” Whispered Alex Mercer. “I’m sorry...”
Night Sky
O, Nights, I do ponder,
Beyond the dark veil of yonder,
Retired are the dreams of hither,
Amongst the stars of wonder.
that's pretty cool
Is this hinting at an Alex Mercer/Prototype fic? Cuz if so, I would read it in a heartbeat.

Perhaps... but my conviction on the matter deters with each new (bad) Prototype crossover that's published on this site. People just might take one look at mine and go "Fuck no."
I think you could have illustrated more ways in how Alex can kill people and before absorbing them into his conscious.
Did you play the sequel? I heard it was the same as the first, only more limited with a dumb protagonist. Although those tendrils seemed like a cool mechanic.
My big Abom, I used to wonder what rend-ship could be
My big Abom, then you all shared your innards with me
Big hooks, tons of cleaves
You can't hide in those leaves
Putrid miasma on dead meat
And GRAAH makes it all complete!
People have said that Frankenstein is a classic.

Well since the majority of your stuff is better than most of the awful crossovers on this site, I'm sure people would take a look at it. Plus, after what you did with the Darksiders 2 crossover I'm sure you could make it awesome.

The sequel was actually a lot smoother than the first I thought. The protagonist had a personality too, instead of just "My name is... Alex... Mercer..." The story was wonky though.

I thought four was a well-rounded number. Not sure. I wrote this ages ago.
