So, uh yeah... Hi folks. I'm not dead, and neither is the story. In addition to my writer's block, which is thankfully flushed out of the system, it was shortly followed with a nasty case of Procrastinitis... which is also hopefully taken care of. A chapter should not take 2-3 months to write, and unfortunately for you and me, it did, and no amount of apologizing can make up for that. In light of the Season 3 finale, after I post the next chapter, which should go up from any time between when I posted this blog, to sometime next afternoon, I may go back and edit some of the earlier chapters, to accommodate the facts Twilight Sparkle now has WINGS.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the Season 3 finale, save for the fact that it clearly should have been a 2 or 3 parter, but yeah... don't you hate it when a new episode contradicts what you know about the show and throws you for a loop?
Yeah, me too.
Anyway, hold onto your bums, I've got a chapter to work on!

P.S: Lets hope Season 4 has at least one Rarity episode to cover the severe lack of them this season suffered from. ;D
I know what you mean. I don't mind that Twilight has wings, I just don't how they smushed all that plot into a single episode.

As someone only now discovering and HIGHLY enjoying your fic (assuming it's still going) might I suggest that you DON'T go back and edit anything?
More often than not, when somebody goes back and changes things, things tend to get screwed up. Look no further than Star Wars and George Lucas's constant meddling to see what I mean.
Ever since Discord was freed/Twilight became an alicorn, I've seen too many fics try to "fix" what they've already written to make it 'fit' with the canon, and not once have I ever seen it really work. It almost always ends up being incredibly forced and the story suffers greatly as a result.
Please don't go back and meddle with what you already have. If you really think that there's stuff worth improving (though I can't see anything) then fine, but don't change it just because you feel obligated to because canon pulled these stunts. That won't end well. It never does.
My personal recommendation:
You already have Discord free in secret. Just put a minor edit in the story summary that this story takes place BEFORE the season 3 finale. That's all that's needed. Heck, that way at some point you can even include a discussion between Luna and Pip about Twilight BECOMING an alicorn when it happens. That is sure to be interesting, and I'm already getting the d'awws from picturing Pip ask, "So...does this mean Twilight's my aunt, cousin, or what, Mum?"
