Why Dashie?

Why Dashie? Why is Rainbow Dash best pony? I'm gonna explain why Rainbow Dash is my favorite pony?

I've always been interested in over-achieving characters. Starting with Goku from Dragon Ball Z, and Ash, from Pokemon (my first anime). Being exposed to a lot of over achieving characters you kinda start losing interest in the background characters, or those that are not as over achieving (by the way, I forgot to mention Yugi, from Yu-Gi-Oh!).
I'm gonna mention a few over-achieving characters I'm a fan of so you can get a better idea of why I chose Dash to be best pony - excluding those I've already mentioned: Sonic the Hedgehog... I think with Sonic you can already get a pretty good idea of the sort of characters I'm interested in.
I admit it, every time I watch an anime, I immediately go for the main characters as to identify with in the story. Not exactly a hipster thing to do - is it? Before I became a brony, I liked Dash's I can do anything attitude. I like strong confident characters, they are somewhat opposite of how I actually am. They show me I can be confident no matter what.

I gotta admit, the fan-fic My Little Dashie kinda sealed the deal for me. To have my own Dashie is now my life-long dream :3
