The only real issue I had with this story was that you wait until the first narrative transition to mention that Artemis is a pegasus. This isn't a huge problem, by any means (it could be solved by adding a "my wings" reference somewhere in the opening scene), so I'll leave it at a "I highly recommend you do this in the next few days that this story spends in the posting queue."

I'm very jealous of you. So jealous. Really, bucking, jealous. The fact that EQD accepted To Love a Goddess is envy inducing, and is making me very green... EQD never accepted my work for a lot of reasons, but I'm just saying that EQD is mostly the reason why most of the top tier writers here (like Aegis Shield or Pen Stroke) are popular and I don't like that... but I'm happy for you as well.

Well... yeah. Still, I hate how EQD can instantly gather popularity for stories that they approve. Mine are just depending on the website's feature box (btw, thank you knightly), and are unable to be qualified for their standards unless I can get an editor. (Which btw I'm very picky for. I'm only willing to work with people who have a lot of time on their hands, patient, and have a good will)

882692 EQD has been an elitist club for a long time. That they seem to have ever shifting standards, half of which are determined by what prereader you get makes it feel like actually getting a fic approved by them is more of a luck based thing that it should be. Some fics get rejected for legitimate reasons, others, I've heard, get rejected for asinine things. For instance, did you know that you can actually get rejected if they don't like your cover art? I wish I was joking about that. Fics can be rejected for so many little reasons it's just dumbfounding. They set some arbitrary, singular definition of "perfection" for story writing and will go out of their way to knock off anything that doesn't fit their vision. Comedy fic that doesn't 'have enough jokes', or that doesn't match the prereaders preferred style of humor, cover art that 'reveals too much of the story', a background pony (you know, those character that have no canonical personality) was OOC according to the prereader's headcanon of that character's personality, if you try to invent a world building element for the story that the prereader doesn't like, and so on.
It's so wonky to try to get accepted there that many writers never even try. I like EQD as a news site, but I've long since stopped looking for fics there. Typically, I can find the good stuff here on Fimfic months before it makes it to EQD. I also know I'd miss out on tons of great stories that never make it to EQD if I relied on them for 'quality'.
Yes, getting featured on EQD can be a big boon, but I've seen fics that were featured there that still didn't attract an audience (one fic I don't recall the name of was on EQD and still had less than 100 views here months after the feature). The sooner you stop viewing EQD as a metric for success the happier you'll be as a writer.

To say getting featured there doesn't matter is a lie; it is a legitimate boon for stories and authors without huge followings. I have nothing against anyone wanting to be featured there, for whatever reason they have, but I hate seeing people stress over it as though EQD is the only avenue for success.
