One Year Ago Today

Today, Derpy Day, is the day that I have come to associate with the final leap into full blown obsession with out favorite quadrupeds.

I mean, sure, I was interested in the show before then, but was today, one year ago, that I wore my first MLP shirt out in public (a Derpy shirt fittingly enough) and brought muffins to my Calculus 2 class.

This past year has been the greatest year of my life. I've met some of the greatest people I've ever cared to know, I've experienced more wonderful things, I've relearned how to smiled at everyday life, and to really relax. This show and fandom have given me back my artistic spark that I thought that I had lost in college, getting my degree in English Education and then back into college for nursing.

In two months time, I will be getting married to my best friend, and fellow pony-fan:
