Alright, I know I said that the last blog post would be the penultimate one before the pre-update blog post, but I just have to get this idea out. I know, I know, I'm sorry.
But anyway, while doodling up ideas for the MLD clopfic with Tolkien writing (which I actually was not serious about in the first place but then I actually got thinking about), a random idea popped into my head. While it's pretty crazy (crazier than The White Rider, as in really insane), I think it could serve as a nice side project that has the potential for many D'AWWW moments, though I'm not very certain about working on it at all.
What about a My Little Dashie re-interpretation that takes place in the 60 years between the end of The Hobbit and before The Lord of the Rings? With Bilbo Baggins as the protagonist? The pony will be Rainbow Dash, of course.
Ugh, that actually sounds sort of bland, but thoughts? Is it workable?

I just think it would be interesting to see these guys in a new environment.
Joshua, with his heavy religious beliefs, and a very dark past.
How would he react to a veritable Eden not ruled by the God of the Bible and his faith, but of two completely unknown beings of deity status.
Would his faith hold? Or would his faith lead him down a dark path? And if so, could the interactions he had with the Courier save him (provided the courier was a good guy)?
Then we have Ulysses, who only wanted a nation he could be proud to live in.
He shows up in Equestria, and how does he view it?
The NCR, the Legion, and even the Brotherhood of Steel did not have what it takes to bring order to a place such as the Wasteland, in his eyes.
But the actions of one man, as he sadly found out, can change history for the better or worse of all.
Also: Make it Samwise Gamgee instead of Bilbo.

It's the story about *insert name here* who eats a horse-meat burger, waking up one day to discover that an intelligent race of ponies have set up 'Equestria', their own world, in his mouth.
Stuff happens.
A story about love, romance, loss, family, and really chewing your food.

Here's my advice to you:
Add a couple more chapters to White Rider BEFORE you start any pet projects. It's obvious by the way you update that you're not only very selective on quality, but you also don't pump out chapters like crazy. This plus White Rider may be more than you can handle.
Or maybe not, maybe you secretly have hundreds of White Rider chapters and they just need editing. Who knows?
