Filk is Magic, vol 3

Today, something a little darker. I wrote this while listening to the Talking Heads' "Stop Making Sense" tour for the billionth time. (Still have it on Betamax! Just wish I had a Betamax player.) I was particularly struck, this time, for some odd reason, by "Girlfriend is Better". Couldn't get it out of my head.
Then my muse said, "Hey. Maybe it's time for ponies."
"...Okay."

Here's what resulted. Taking inspiration from Cupcakes (the pre-edited version) and Talking Heads, I give you:
