Finale of PonyFall: Majestic Royalty · 8:06pm Feb 20th, 2013
Man oh man...
How long has it been since I started Majestic Royalty? Nearly a year, perhaps? It was one of my very first fics to ever reach the #1 Feature Spot, and it's gained over 1000 Favorites over the past several months. It brought a tear to my eye to see so much support going for this fic, despite my disadvantages. Everyone, I thank you at the bottom of my heart for tolerating my writing and reading each and every chapter that I update it with. It has given me the motivation to continue with it. Despite times that I just didn't feel like writing it, you, the fans, always proved me wrong and gave me that energy again to continue on.
Unfortunately, not anymore.
It's been a fun run with writing Majestic Royalty, but I'm just not feeling it anymore. I don't know if it's because of college classes or me hard-pressed for time, but for the past couple weeks, I've been trying to write a new chapter. So far only half of it is done, but it was like an average of 50 words per day. Every time I sit at my computer, I'm just staring at Microsoft Word, with my mind being a complete blank. After like an hour or so of staring at my computer screen, contemplating on what to do, I very slowly type out what happens in the chapter. But then I just stop and stare at it for another hour. It's like I'm a zombie; I drool at the mouth figuring out what should happen next. After having a chat with TheSlorg, Draequine, and other PonyFall members, I finally realized it:
I'm not having fun anymore.
I've had this fic for nearly a year, and it's a miracle I've managed to somehow keep updating it. The updates became weekly, but then it quickly became monthly, and then suddenly several months. I thought it was just my motivation having a problem. It turns out it was just me forcing myself trying to get a chapter ready. It was all fun at first, but my fun for it degraded over time. It didn't help when PonyFall had to be overhauled and suspended for a month or so a year ago--that somewhat killed it for me right there, but I still kept on going, with fans anticipating the next chapter.
But now... I just don't have it in me anymore. When you're not having fun, how do you enjoy doing what you do when all you're doing is forcing yourself?
If reading those few paragraphs is too much to read, I'll simplify it: I'm withdrawing from PonyFall.
The original chapter I was typing, I will finish. After that will be one more chapter to tie up loose ends. I am very sorry to have disappointed you all, but I just can't keep on going with this. I've already had a talk with TheSlorg, and he has agreed with my decision. He agreed with it quite calmly, actually, which was quite a surprise. I envy him for his patience and understanding, and everything he's done for the group.
The original chapter and the finale chapter was already discussed with the group, and it will be released in the future at an unknown time. So while I'm still in PonyFall itself, my part will end in two chapters. If anyone has any questions, I will try to answer to the best of my ability, since I'm sure all of you need further answers.
Again, I am very sorry for doing this. :(
So is Celestia's story going to be officially complete or is Ponyfall going to be looking for someone to pick up after you've finished?
is it just this story that you've lost interest in, or has all of writing taken a hit?

Without trying to spoil anything, Celestia's story will still continue, but she won't be involved with Gerald's life anymore. PonyFall has no plans on looking for another author to take her either. However, another author within PonyFall does have plans for her.
In other words, her story isn't going to start from scratch. Everything she's experienced, will be continued onward.

Just the story. I haven't lost my fun with writing new stories and continuing Naruto, for example.
849813 So she will be continuing on, just possibly with another as of yet unmentioned person...good, I really enjoy Celestia's story so this is good news for me. Bad news that you won't be writing it, though it's my person opinion that writing should be done for enjoyment most of all, but at least the story will still be continued...

Trust me, I had a lot planned for this story, maybe even a lot of potential. It's just a shame that I can't find the fun in going through with it anymore. :(
Let's hope you don't run into the same problem with My Little Naruto.
