Well we're past the season 3 finale and as you can all tell the fandom is in shambles. Yup, no more YouTube vids. No more amazing art. No more fun or engrossing stories. It's all over. Move along, nothing to see here.
Oh, except that vids are still getting made.
And art is still getting drawn.
And stories... well heck, I just updated Tarnished Feelings again.
So just what impact did the finale have on the fandom? Answer: None that seems all that perceptible. Game on, then.
I'm not going to pretend like S3 was the greatest season of FiM yet, because it wasn't. It had its shortcomings and overall wasn't quite as great as the first two were. But saying S3 was your least favorite season of the show is like eating Neapolitan ice cream and saying, "Yeah vanilla's an alright flavor, but it's not as good as chocolate or strawberry." You still ate it anyway, and though you might deny it you still liked it because it's ice cream. By default, ice cream is always awesome. Just like MLP:FiM.
Rather than dwell on the negative, I try to focus on the positive and there certainly was a lot of that in S3. But I'll save those thoughts for another post.
