Good News and Bad News · 9:58pm Feb 16th, 2013
Okay. So there really is no good news. Kind of.
Well, I guess the closest thing to good news is that the season finale was pretty good. Well, honestly, it kind of felt like it just happened for it to exist. Like, I didn't feel like it was rushed, but we all knew about the "big surprise" at the end, and it was so short that was pretty much all that happend. I'm just glad it was handled in a way that doesn't mess with my stories as much as I expected, namely that while it showed why somepony could become an alicorn, it didn't go much into detail as to how. So I can work around it.
For the bad news, well, I'm a bit bummed. First and foremost is that my computer's hard drive is royally busted after a pretty hard fall. What means is not only that I'm out of commission as a writer for a while (I'm using a school computer to type this up, but I don't have the time to really work on anything), but that I've lost EVERYTHING I've been working on. Stuff that's saved here on Fimfiction is safe (I hope), but a bunch of stories in progress (including the re-write of My Sweetest Friend and the the next chapter of Elements of Unity) are completely gone. So is the in-progress game of Elements of Unity, so we'll have to see if I feel like doing it over. A bit demoralizing, as you can imagine.
In other (bad) news, Hearts & Hooves day was really rough for me. So I'm in a bit of a stupor. And by "a bit of a stupor," I mean I'm depressed into a near sociopathic-level numbness. I hope it doesn't kill me.

Hey, look at the bright side of things. The game probably would have been nixed by Hasbro anyway, and with another drought upon us, no one would have cared about those fanfics! You know, unless they actually wanted some Pony content during the six-month period of nothingness from the actual show.
Okay, I don't see a bright side either. Sue me.
What happened on your V-Day that was so bad? That, to me, seems that a big issue that ought be talked about. Did you find out a girl you've been after really just wasn't that into you?

Heh, you've got a good level of emotional intelligence. That has been bothering me more (at least for now, we'll see if that stays the case), but it's harder to talk about on the grounds of being much more personal. I'm not sure how much I want to go into it, but I have a friend with whom I've gotten very close in a short amount of time. I want to turn that into more than just that, but she doesn't want to jeopardize our friendship. I'm worried I already did.
People would rather hear about something that affects them anyways, though, which is why I went more into detail about the hard drive. Also, there's more to say about it. But thank you for asking.

Not just stories, but all my music, pictures, game files (both game saves and games I was working on)... hell, even my homework is gone.
Though, like Crushric was able to point out, that's honestly not the most pressing matter on my mind right now anyways. Maybe it will be in a couple of weeks when I have to start over, but right now I'm just focused on fighting my incoming emotionlessness.
And as far as Twilicorn is concerned, I'm not sure I feel too strongly one way or another. But the way I see it, wishing she was still a unicorn won't make her one, so I'm just trying to get used to it.
Holy crap... Not to be mean, but you might want to invest in a flashdrive.

I had stuff backed up onto an external hard drive, but it's mostly just my C drive. So all of my programs, none of my files. Because I'm an idiot.
At least I believe so. I guess we'll see.
