Yeah, there was pretty much nothing worth a sack of beans in this episode. It's really too bad. I can't imagine this being easy to bounce back from.

Not sure I can really drown myself in fics, though. Now that Twilight is an Alicorn there's only ever going to be ONE fic written. Because there's only one story to tell with Alicorn Twilight:
Twilight outlives her friends and is sad.
Yeah, there will be variations on the fic. In some cases, Twilight will be alright and care for her friends' ancestors or something. In some fics she'll go insane and become the next Nightmare. In some fics she'll look for comfort in Luna's bed. In some fics she'll become some warrior princess alongside Spike, her dragon companion...
But the underlying theme will always be the same. Twilight outlives her friends and is sad.
I hate that story.
