On s*yay*tstorms and characterization.

So apparently RATHER LARGE SPOILER, PEOPLE! CAREFUL NOW! Shining is Twilight's brother.THE SPOILER HAS PASSED, IT"S SAFE TO READ NOW, BRONIES!.

Interesting.

One way or another, this causes quite a ruckus in the collective fandom. I mean, I assume most people reading this have seen the infamous "My Little Pony S*yay*tstorm Thermometer". Yeah, this is going to reach new heights at this rate. I, for one, don't mind the change. Of course, for now it seems rather rushed. Then again, we're still, what, 4 episodes away from the grand finale? And don't forget that Twilight is getting her own time-shenanigans-related feature episode this Saturday. The folks at Hasbro have more than enough time to deal with all the foreshadowing. They managed to beam generous amounts of continuity towards us already (hi Pipsqueak cameo!), so I'm going to assume they care enough not to drop such sudden bombs on us.

Princess Cadence notwithstanding.

Regarding the New and Old, though. A new chapter is up, and I'm confident enough to post Chapter V tomorrow at earliest. I apologize if the current chapter feels drawn-out, but that's mostly because of the dialogue and little action than railroading. You can't have explosions all the time now, can you? Sometimes narrative is a good thing to have. All in all, real actiony-fun will begin soon enough. The results may or may not shatter the fourth wall as we know it. Time will tell.
