It was midnight in Equestria. Only a few people were still up at this time; one of which being Prince Celestia. She was in the royal library reading. Celestia went to the bookshelf nearest to her. The bookshelf was adorned with books ranging from history on Starswirl the bearded to advanced plumbing. She picked a book about this person who always shouted his name before running headfirst into battle and ends up getting his squad either caught or injured. Celestia brought the book back to the table and dug in.
Nine hours later Celestia woke up and looked around.
“I must have fallen asleep” She said to herself.
Just then a guard came in the library at full speed and stopped right by the princess.
“Your highness we have a problem” He sounded tired.
“What is it lieutenant?”
“Several objects have appeared in the courtyard. We don’t know what they are but me and the guards who found them can hear crying coming from them”
The Princess got up and followed the guard to the courtyard. He was right; there were objects in the courtyard. Upon closer inspection of one of the strange objects it appeared to have a symbol with three letters on it.

“Wro… Wro where have I heard that before…” She pondered this for a moment before her eyes widened in realization.
Before Celestia could do anything the sound of crying returned.
Celestia immediately started to look for the source of the crying. Her eyes fell upon a padded crate. Inside was…
“A baby?”
She was right; it was a baby. But not of her species. The child was mostly hairless except for a patch of pure black hair on its head and its eyes were a deep shade of red.
The guards came up to Celestia; all of them partially shocked because of the baby.
“Your highness what shall we do with the objects?”
The Princess looked to the guards then back to the baby.
“Put them in storage. Ill handle the child”
And with that Celestia levitated the child and brought it into the castle…
