Payback's final chapter and Mars Attacks My Little Pony! · 6:44am Feb 13th, 2013
Man I put poor Fluttershy through the ringer on that last chapter. No worries though, because I'm already putting together the final chapter of The Big Payback. So get ready for a happy ending in true pony fashion.
Now then... who's been reading IDW's My Little Pony series? Is it any good? Anyway I recently found an interesting interview with Thom Zahler, writer/artist of the upcoming MLP micro-series. In said interview, he mentioned his attempt to pitch his idea for Mars Attacks My Little Pony, as part of their Mars Attacks crossover comics.
It did my little heart well to know I'm not the only one with the same idea.
Zahler's idea, in my opinion, is way cuter, way funnier and way more in keeping with the show's theme. Maybe they'll go with it, stranger things have happened.
As for my own Mars vs. Pony idea, I figured I'd drop the pitch on all of you since I'm probably never going to get around to actually writing it.
FRIENDSHIP IS WEAPONIZED - SCENE - Imagine an small armada of Martian saucers surrounding a helpless world, having traveling countless light years and across dimensions in the search for battle and glory for the Martian Empire. A lone ship is sent to the planet, landing just outside a bustling little town. The town has a name unknown to the invaders: Ponyville.
Using their genetic infiltration disguise (yes, a Martian pony), the lone scout begins his threat assessment of the planet. Perhaps these primitive-looking equines would make suitable labor drones, or perhaps they'll just annihilate them like so many planets before. However the scout sees that these are no meek quadrupeds. Teleportation, telekinesis, matter manipulation, these creatures wield power only dreamed of by Martian scientists. Then, the unthinkable, the moment forever burned into the scout's memory.
It sees Celestia raise the sun.
Final assessment of the unnamed planet: Danger level maximum. No Martian ships are to come within a hundred light years near.
sweeeeeeeeeet...
I actually have thought of my own Mars Attacks/My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic crossover except mine is multi-chapter and there'd be a subplot involving the Cutie Mark Crusaders trying to bring the elements of harmony to the Mane Six and I wouldn't wimp out on the destruction; Canterlot gets destroyed and Celestia's palace blows up. Don't worry, there's a happy ending.
Your "Mars Attacks/My Little Pony" crossover sounds pretty interesting, GlueFactory, as does Movie-Brat's.
