Ponies with beards. I don't see enough of 'em. But I do like seeing these kinds of images. As much as I love leaving things to my imagination, seeing a character more ore less as the author sees them helps create more vivid scene as I read.

What comes to my mind is the classic situation where a character A) takes too much and spits it out (possibly at Coffee) and B) Coffee decides it's not a good idea for a pony like her should drink it, thus wilder Cotton Cake.
