i feel like a disgrace to bronies, i lost my temper when i saw the preview of the new episode for next week. they had miss America on there, that's part of what did it for me...and fluttershy saying "you look just like a princess" when the elements did something to twilight. i don't know what to do. no matter where i look for reassurance, all i can find is season 4...im worried its all gonna be ruined. they said trust the writers, i would if it was the writers that did this BUT IT WASN'T.
my birthdays tomorrow (ill be 17) and im sitting here angry and sad. i doubt ill ever give up my little pony, but after what happens because of hasbro...i just don't know. luigilink, nobrains HELP ME!

Aww bud, we can't let this all get to us, we're all better than that.
I really don't think the show's writing will take that big of a hit either, but I do believe that they'll be more and more attempts at trying to flush in marketing ploys or stuff of the ilk.
In the end we have to look at it like this: the show is the show, but what we've all been doing here is writing our own little takes on it, and just because they think they can change the way a character is just for some extra money, doesn't particularly mean we have to ruin this world we have just as much credit for creating as they do. That's why we're all here on this site, aren't we? To write the stories we feel need to be told in this world, and if we see that this particular canonical entry doesn't need to be acknowledged, then I don't think we should.
It's only going to be a problem if we let it be, and I'm determined to ignore anything they do on the show if they continue to put this kind of stuff out, I feel like it would be better for us, and any story that will be written in the future.
If that means that the show itself is going to be ruined, then at least we still have all the stories here that easily outnumber all of the episodes that the studio has put out, almost to the point where it isn't even fractional.
That's all I can say about the matter at hand really, since I haven't seen the commercial and don't watch the show on t.v.

. im better than this, i didn't get upset about halo or mass affect 3 so why should i let hasbro break me! (ok maybe a little sad on mass affect 
). it may not ruin the show, but if it falls (lets sincerely hope it does not!), then at least we'll have the stories to keep everypony going. also the games are pretty fun...fun? fun! fun! fun!
