Happy National Pancake Day! · 1:45am Feb 6th, 2013
We had our party today...And by happy coincidence, it was National Pancake Day!
Here are some memorable shots from party time:
We fancied up my dining room with balloons and a picture of Pinkie.
E. decided it was Pinkie's birthday, so we sang for her.
For whatever reason, the rest of the ponies had to nap on the floor while we ate.
Discord was NOT allowed to stay at the party (much to mine and Pinkie's dismay).
So he was banished to the couch with Cadance, who was also not invited.
All in all, it was a fun night :D
Edit: And because it's "Pinkie's birthday" I guess I should give her some gifts...
...Actually, I picked up some new swag today :D

That's kind of how I look when I dance.I mean...Uh. We did
799313
I can dance sort of well, but not nearly as good as Twilight. Twilight's an artist.

And you didn't invite me? I am disappoint, but that looked extremely fun. One question, why wasn't Cadance invited?
799318
One of the best things about my life? No matter how derpy I look dancing, the kids at work think I've got sweet moves.
799324
Because Chrysalis.
799324
E. hasn't seen many episodes of FiM yet, so I don't think he knows who Cadance is. I tried to bring her to the table and he got mad and pouted.
799339
Fair point.
799342
Okay, you have to admit that is pretty funny.
799336
My brother would probably just laugh at me. But then again, weirdness is encouraged in my household, so maybe they'd all join me or something. My family is a bunch of weirdos. It's awesome.
Yay! Pancakes!
And dancing is fun.

Oh, he's a stinker, that's for sure. He loves AJ best, because "she grows lots of apples and [he] never wants to stop eating apples!"
799351
My family doesn't really dance, but we certainly are weirdos!
799393
They were most delicious. Discord is still pouting that he wasn't allowed to stay.

I like Applejack too, but I can't say for the same reason.
Awwww! hehe!
So cute!

Mine doesn't either. But you never know ...
That's also what I try to say with converting my brother to bronyism: You never know ...
I've been trying for what, six months now. I don't think it's going to work. I'll just have to keep trying.
Though, how can you stand to have your litterbox anywhere near the eating table? In my experience, those things ruin whatever room they're in.
799598
I only eat in the dining room when there's company. Most meals are solitary (except for the plethora of plushies around my house), so the cat box is no biggie.
I do wish I had somewhere better to put it, but...I don't
I recognize the cat scratcher in a box, mine use the same kind
799595
I suspect that my younger brother is a closet brony. I had this Pinkie Pie bodywash in my parents' bathroom over Christmas and he was referring to her and Twilight Sparkle by name after noticing the bodywash.
He claims some youtube channel he likes includes weird FiM video clips, but...I bet he secretly watches the show itself.
799623 bummer for that part.
799624
I want to get them one of the bigger, S-shaped carboard scratchers, but for being made out of carboard, those things are expensive!
799644
I can put it out in my storage space when the weather is nicer, but that part of the apartment is unheated, so I keep the window-door shut during the winter. And my bathroom is too small to put it in there...
It is kind of a pain, but...Like I said, the dining room is one of the least used rooms in my apartment.
799646 I got one of those tower ones with the carpet sides and hidey holes in it, and my cats refused to use it as anything other than a perch. Never tried the S-shaped cardboard ones, but with the box ones like in the picture, my guys tend to overturn them to get at the catnip, before using them to scratch.. So the first few days I have a new one my cats are all wonky-crazy.
799661
I don't even have to put the catnip in for mine to go bonkers over those! And they have a nice carpeted scratching post that they never use, too!
799667 Well, that's cats for you. Even with the cardboard scratchers, mine also have a fondness for my expensive leather office chair. Which now looks like a war shrapnel victim and only has one arm left. This was once a $250 chair.
I don't know for sure, but I think my babies might be slightly spoiled. Well, okay, very spoiled.

Last January, my grandmother moved into a senior living apartment complex. She offerred a lot of her furniture to me and my brothers/cousins, since she couldn't take it all with her.
I got this forty year old sofa and armchair set from the "guest parlor" which no one was EVER allowed to go in, except for really important visitors. Like, seriously, until this stuff showed up at my house, I'd never sat on either of them in my life.
The day after I acquired these things, my cats decided the sofa would make a *perfect* scratcher and completely shreaded the armrests.
...I told my mom Grandma can never come to my apartment again, because it'd probably give her a heart attack.
799718 Oh dear-- Eyep, my mother also has three cats of her own and a fondness for antique furniture. Antique furniture which nobody can appreciate or use because she now has to cover it with throw pillows, blankets, and pillowcases over the upholstry.
I think cats have a secret innate sense of what's expensive or important, and that it draws them like magnets. It's kinda like.. Cutie mark crusaders and dangerous/disastrous activities.
