Sorry I've been kind of scarce lately. I've discovered that I hate typing on the spare old laptop I keep at E's for interneting purposes after he's asleep, so I haven't been writing much.
I've also stumbled upon a folder full of ancient roleplay logs from something Random and I were doing for a period of, like, three years. I haven't looked at that stuff in, like, two years, so it's been fun and interesting to read, as well as very distracting.
Also working on cosplay stuff.
I am writing, though things have been slow in coming, due to my not getting home until, like, 10 PM four nights a week. The next part of "WGGTS" is in progress. I haven't written any more of "All Is Calm", though I do have some solid ideas of what will happen next -- I'll probably work on that tomorrow.
And then...There's the Pinkie/Discord thing. Progress on that has been soooooo sloooooow, but I AM working on it (there is a sheet of scrap paper somewhere in my backpack with 500 or so words scribbled on it that I wrote at work the other day). It's nowhere near ready to be published yet, because most of the real clear ideas -the stuff I've been able to bang out- is from later in the story, so I'm writing it very much out of sequence.
Also, E and I are having a "Pinkie Pie Pancake Party" on Monday, which will involve me, a four year old brony, Pinkie, chocolate chip pancakes and balloons. I'll hopefully remember my camera so I can take some pics...And will likely share pics of my big Pinkie and some goofy shenanigans after.
In the meanwhile, have a little scribble of a filly Gusty and her dad. I was too lazy to clean up and color it, but it's still cute.
...The ponytail exists solely because of her mom.

So, I am starting my first fanfic. I haven't written chapters yet, as some of the details are being finalized with help from a friend. The idea is in this blog post.

It usually is fun! It's for a really small convention, and a lot of the same people are there every year. I've made my own costume every time we've gone to this con, and this year's is really exciting, because it involves a handmade tutu and pink sparkly boots

But seriously, it's cute. Happy Filly Gusty With A Ponytail is now Best Gusty. And don't worry about the lack of writing. I've managed to fall about seven or eight chapters behind on WGGTS as it is.
I plan to start correcting that tomorrow.

Gusty wasn't always as jaded as she is as an adult. When she was small, she was much happier, especially when spending time with her dad. She was probably too young in that picture to really understand that she was different -- a lot of her peers then would have been on about the same level as her, magically.
And she does smile, sometimes, when Gingerbread is around

Though I'll probably take a break later to work on some cosplay stuff (I have a saddlebag to fancy up) and recolor my hair (it's looking very brown these days and that displeases me).
