Applejack fic followup + Artists wanted for Twilight fic! · 10:01pm Mar 4th, 2012
First off, I was not expecting this big of a turnout from Her Whole Darn Heart. I mean wow! I was really, really nervous about writing a human/pony fic, thinking that it would crash and burn, but you guys have proven my fears unfounded! Thank you to everyone who commented, watched, faved etc. Nearly every comment made me smile when I saw them! You guys made my day. Love you all!
As some of you are aware of, I held a vote back in early February, containing a list of fics I was thinking of doing next. The Applejack fic won, followed by Desire and Deep Water, a story involving Twilight, who loves books, and you as a water-loving Earth Pony who looks after the lake on the outskirts of Ponyville. That is gonna be my next fic!
Which brings me to my next topic: You all know how I sometimes add screenshots, vectors or edited pictures into my stories? If there are any artists out there, how would you like to add direct contributions by drawing scenes from the fics? Your pictures will hopefully be worked into the fic itself, if it depicts the moment just right, and you'll be able to read the in-development fics before anyone else since you'll need them for reference. Your name/profile will be credited, obviously, and on the off-chance of it not getting into the story itself, it will be highlighted in the next blog or something. Either way, you get credit and recognition, while I get pics for my fics! It's win-win!
Why am I asking for this? Because I wouldn't want to be limited to just vectors and screens. I can't, for example, find a decent picture of Twilight Sparkle swimming underwater in a lake scene (oh, spoiler alert by the way), and it would be way too difficult and tacky to just edit her hair to be wavy using a vector from the show or something. So I could use any artists who are willing to spare their time. Lemme just make some things clear first;
- You've got to be a decent artist. That's a no-brainer.
- You've got to show me an example of your work, so I know what you're capable of.
- The drawing style must be similar to the show.
- You should try not to draw the "you" character much in it, (if you do, make him hard to see, or have it from his perspective) since each reader has a different interpretation for themselves.
- Vector artists are a plus, since they go best with the show's style.
Anyone who's interested, send me a private message and we can discuss stuff! You don't have to jump to it right now, because it's takes ages, usually a month or two, for me to write fics. Plenty of time to think about whether or not you really want to give up your free time for little old me.

I'm already liking where this story is going. I'm sure you'll find an artist willing to help you out. Your fics are certainly popular enough for someone decent at FIM art to have seen.
