Gee, my blog title would make a great story or chapter title! lol But anyway, I wanted to share the latest with all of you! =D Thankfully I only have one more night to work this week. Then I have two nights off, yay - time I can use for more writing.
In my last blog, I'll bet some of you may have noticed my indecision as to which story I was going to focus on next. Well, my love for the sun princess is shining once again! So I'm going to be working on chapter 6 of "You Brigthen My Day"! Like many of you, I'm really looking forward to seeing where this story is going next. Can you believe since the beginning I've got 813 people following it now?! That's epic IMO! When I first started this story, I never would have guessed it'd gather quite a following. And can you believe the last chapter alone has over 100 comments!
Now, I've given it lots of thought over the past several weeks, and I've got some great ideas for this next chapter! This one should be the best yet. Now that love is starting to grow between Daniel and Celestia, who knows what the future has in store for them? This chapter will certainly evoke more feels and have that relaxing quality a number of you enjoy. Plus I might be doing another love scene. Yeah, I know it may seem close following the last one, but keep in mind, it's been a while since Celestia has had someone special in her life, and I seriously doubt Daniel will have the heart to turn her down, he does seem quite understanding. ~_^
I could ramble on, but I don't want to risk sharing anything I've got planned. I will say this, I'm working on the opening scene and it picks up right where chapter 5 ended, with Daniel and Celestia in bed, sleeping together. Oh yeah, one more thing I'd like to share. A song from what might seem a somewhat abstract source to some of you has been fueling my inspiration for this story. A few months ago, Disney released it's latest "Fairies" movie - "Tinker Bell and the Secret of the Wings". Well from it came a very heartwarming song sung by the McClain Sisters, called "The Great Divide". After hearing the song and focusing on the lyrics, I immediately saw a parallel to my Celestia story. And here is the song in question. I'd like you to listen to it and tell me if you don't agree:
I know in some ways the song is a little sugary, but at the same time it's really beautiful in its own light, and I feel it's quite fitting to Celestia and Daniel's tale!
Well, I'd better get going my friends. I want to get the first part of chapter 6 going, and I'm feeling that creative drive. Oh yeah, I'll also be starting the first part of my new novel this weekend as well. I'm so excited. I've got great ideas for it as well! Thank you all, so much for your ongoing support! I'm at the point where I still watch the show, when I have time to check out new episodes on YouTube, but mainly watch my DVDs of Season 1 and the handful of season 2 episodes I have. I'm not going to worry about what they do with Twilight. If they think making her an alicorn will boost sales, so be it. But I'm keeping her a unicorn until I feel like doing otherwise, and I'm not going to post anymore blogs ranting or being concerned about the show. There's no point. I'm here to share my brand of pony stories and when they are released, info about any fantasy novels I write. Besides, I want to make my fans, like you, happy!

The Barbie movies to be honest, give me the same feeling - I saw a commercial for one, and felt compelled to watch one recently and surprised myself in how much I was enjoying it (doesn't help that one of the VA"s was the same for Applejack/Rainbow Dash)....I've never had any problem whatsoever in watching things not intended for people my age or gender, but ever since MLP, It's become even more so
As for the S3 finale, I've spoken with several authors (left a big one on the "The Descendent"'s blog for those interested), but in short....I honestly have faith - their is alot to say, too much...but I have faith everything will turn out, perhaps better then okay; perhaps everything will be a humongous disaster....or maybe not. It's better to hope for the best, then assume the worst and their is more then enough to be excited rather then hurt....I feel it's best to enjoy the ride and enjoy the canon for what it is; otherwise, you are always free to return to the fanon and write whatever story you desire and build the world you would have preferred to see

I'm not surprised you like Season 1 so much; as much as I enjoy S2 and 3, the first season is as as canon as it gets, and truly represents Lauren Faust's vision for the show like nothing else whatsoever -- overtime, as the show continues to expand and mature (especially in lieu of what is going to happen in the future) beyond it's original innocent roots, I imagine this appreciation will only get bigger.

I've often thought it's lyrics had some basis in the Pony world, but to my embarrassment, I didn't know the song was titled "New Divide"! I mainly heard it on the radio. Now I must download this off iTunes at long last, along with LP's song "What I've Done" a song that really fits Luna/Nightmare Moon. I even found a YouTube video with Luna that used that LP song:

I'm with you my friend. I've enjoyed season 3 for the most part and look forward to how ever many episodes since "Stay Calm and Flutter On" that I've missed. I won't abandon the show, no matter what they do, I just plan on doing Twi stories with her as a unicorn. In time of course I certainly wouldn't mind working on some alicorn Twilight tales. It would be fun to say the least. BTW, I forgot to mention your comment about the third pic of Tia in your first comment. I'd like to rub her belly too, and for that matter, join her in rolling on the grass. I hadn't done that in years.

As little concern as I have for the community at large if not the show itself, it's the little things such as that PMV and the pics you share with all of us (not just those in this entry but every other one you submit) that otherwise end up impressing me after I initially pay them no heed and brush off as "just more fan made dreck." There's no denying it: MLP FiM has broken through my unfeeling shell and is giving back all the positive feelings I thought had been lost for good.
