For those of you that complained about the pacing (and a few other elements of this story), you are all 100% accurate. I agree that the pacing was ridiculously fast. However, I have an excuse! A legitimate one, in fact.

See, this story was written for the Las Pegasus Unicon fanfiction contest. Entries were limited to 3,000 words to begin with, which made this story very difficult right out of the gate. In addition, I found out about the contest the night before the entry deadline, and so (as the description notes), so I had to write it in under an hour.

It's all moot now, as I didn't make the cut for the top ten. But no matter, the top ten for the contest are some really excellent stories, which I would recommend you all read!

For those of you going to the con in a few weeks, see you all there. For those of you who aren't...
